Jal Public Schools

 

The Jal Public School District is dedicated to the continued improvement of education for the future. In partnership with the New Mexico Sate Department of Education, the community, and the children, the district continues to revise and implement the Educational Plan for Student Success (EPSS).

 

 

MISSION STATEMENT

The Jal Public School District Board of Education sets policy and direction for the education of all students in the district. It is believed that education must challenge all students to reach their potential and must involve the entire community. The Jal Public School District Board of Education is dedicated to the process by which the students of Jal Public Schools will be led through a dynamic educational process that will continue into life beyond the school years.

 

 

MISSION STATEMENT

 

Students attending the Jal Public School District will demonstrate problem solving ability by applying critical thinking and analytical skills in everyday living situations. They will demonstrate literacy through written and oral communication skills in all interdisciplinary areas. They will demonstrate awareness and competency in math, science, and basic technologies. They will develop global awareness in areas of the environment, past and current events, culture, and geography. They will demonstrate responsible citizenship by exercising self-discipline, and by showing respect, sensitivity, and caring for others. They will have the opportunity to exhibit confidence of skills as they meet these criteria.
